"Printmaking is not only a form of art, but also a kind of contemplation on life," said Dai Daquan, Professor at Tsinghua’s Academy of Arts and Design.

In his paper-cut printmaking, Professor Dai emphasizes the importance of simplicity in leading a fulfilling life with his simple yet elegant prints. With only two colors and flat shapes, he conjures strong emotions of small joys far beyond what’s presented on the canvas.
