Video message from Francisco Silva, President of the Chile-China Bilateral Business Council and Chairman of the Board of Banco Security
Mr Francisco Silva, President of the Chile-China Bilateral Business Council and Chairman of the Board of Banco Security, recently released a video supporting China in its fight against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The Chile-China Bilateral Business Council was founded in 2004, and Mr. Silva has dedicated himself to maintaining great Sino-Chilean relations. The Chile-China Bilateral Business Council has a long-term relationship with the Tsinghua University Latin American Center, and Mr. Silva himself has provided active support to the operation of the Tsinghua University Latin American Center in Chile.

I would like to send a very strong personal regard to the Chinese people and our Chinese friends, because of the very severe attack of coronavirus that they are suffering as a consequence of the epidemic that started about a month ago. We have been able to prepare and to dispatch a cargo of masks and alcohol to help them and to go support our friends in Wuhan. As you may know, Chile and China have a very, very long relationship that dates back to 50 years ago, in which we have been growing and developing business, but most of all, friendship and closeness. Because of this, we are here in support of our friends and we only wish that this epidemic will come to an end very soon, in order to be able to resume our normal relationship and make our ties even stronger than they have been in the past.
