Dr. Axel Freimuth, President of the University of Cologne in Germany, visited Tsinghua University on May 22. Tsinghua President Gu Binglin had a discussion with Dr. Freimuth.
The two presidents briefly introduced their respective universities in their talk and expressed the hope that more collaborations could be built between Tsinghua and the University of Cologne in such fields as the humanity, economics, law, and natural science. They also exchanged ideas on doctoral students exchange and research cooperation.
Founded in 1388,is one of the oldest universities in Europe.
