The first Tsinghua Spring Long-distance Running was held on the morning of April 14.
A total of 5,000 students and teachers from about 50 departments and institutes joined the activity, held to welcome the coming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and meanwhile commemorate the fifth Ma Yuehan Sports Game. Professor Chen Xi, Tsinghua University Council Chairman and Professor Chen Xu, Senior Administrator, also participated in the running.
“This is a good chance for us to do physical exercise. I really enjoy it,” said Zhou Dantong, a freshman student from the Department of Civil Engineering.
