A number of new master’s programs with all English courses will be launched at Tsinghua University in Fall Semester 2007.
In addition to programs in place in the School of Economics and Management and School of Law started in 1997 and 2005, seven new programs in the School of Information Science and Technology, the School of Architecture, the School of Public Policy and Management, the School of Journalism and Communication, the Department of Industrial Engineering, and the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering will initiate recruitment of students in September 2007. International students recruited by Tsinghua will be able to choose courses without regard for the language of instruction. Over 200 courses in various areas are ready for selection, ranging from Applied Statistics and Quality Engineering, Environmental Planning and Management, and Quantitative Analytical Methods to Chinese Society and Chinese Law and Study of Contemporary Chinese Architecture.
Several more international programs will be offered later in the School of Aerospace and the Department of Automotive Engineering.
The all English master’s courses aim to attract more international students to Tsinghua and showcase Tsinghua’s dedication to provide world-class education and to cultivate outstanding professionals for society.
