Professor Martinus Buekers, Vice President for International Policy at K.U. Leuven in Belgium, Professor Karen Maex, Vice Rector for the Exact Sciences, and Professor Filip Abraham, Vice Rector for Humanities and Social Sciences, visited Tsinghua on October 31.
Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe spoke with the guests, giving an introduction to Tsinghua University. During the talk, Vice President Xie and Vice President Buekers discussed possibilities to further promote cooperation between Tsinghua and U.K. Leuven in student and faculty exchanges and joint research. They expressed the hope that more collaboration could be built in environmental studies, energy and medicine.
