A Loughborough University delegation headed by Vice-Chancellor Shirley Pearce visited Tsinghua on the morning of August 31st, and a research collaboration agreement was signed during the visit.
Tsinghua Vice President Xie Weihe met and spoke with Professor Pearce. He introduced her to Tsinghua’s history and development. He also outlined to her Tsinghua’s efforts in international research and cooperation. They discussed possibilities for enhancing and expanding collaboration between the two universities.
Professor Pearce and Vice President Xie signed the Research Collaboration Agreement on behalf of their respective universities after the talk. The two universities will enhance their collaboration especially in biomedical engineering research.
Professor Pearce visited the Information Network Engineering Research Center and the Tsinghua-Foxconn Nanotechnology Research Center later that day.
