The second Yale-Tsinghua Environment & Sustainable Development Leadership Program (ESDLP) began in Beijing on May 10.
The program is initiated by both Department of Environmental Science and Engineering of Tsinghua and School of Forestry & Environmental Studies of Yale University, with China Association of Mayors as its strategic cooperation partner.
Over the next 18 days, nearly 20 mayors in China participating in the program will study at Tsinghua University and Yale University respectively. They will also visit several U.S. cities, including Chicago, Portland, and San Francisco, to see some typical examples of sustainable development.
Over 20 Chinese mayors participated in the first (ESDLP), held last year.
