A meeting was held in the main building April 27 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Student Research Training(SRT) project in Tsinghua.
Tsinghua Vice President Wang Jinsong and Senior Administrator Chen Xu attended the meeting and gave awards to faculty and students.
In order to expand students’ breath of knowledge and better promote quality education, Tsinghua launched the Student Research Training project (SRT). By the end of 2005, over 8,400 students had participated in more than 3,800 SRT projects, receiving training in various areas of science sooner than students in other colleges and universities.
At present, more than 40 percent of all undergraduate students have participated in the program.
More than 200 teachers and students participated in the event.
