The10th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality and Climate, organized by Tsinghua University, was held at the Beijing International Convention Center recently.
Kang Kejun, vice-president of Tsinghua, congratulated the participants at the opening ceremony. Also speaking at the opening ceremony were Professor Wu Liangyong, chairman of the conference organizing committee, Professor Jiang Yi and Professor Zhao Rongyi, the vice-chairmans, and Professor Chen Qingyan of Purdue University in the United States.
The conference’s purpose is to share the latest research and discoveries in indoor air science, discuss important science and technology questions, promote better communication among countries on pollution issues, enhance mutual cooperation, and advance development of indoor air science.
The International Conference on Indoor Air Quality is the authoritative academic conference of Indoor Air Science. The current conference has been held in a developing country for the first time since the first conference in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1978. Nearly a thousand experts and scholars from 51 countries and regions attended the conference. A number of diverse papers were discussed at the conference. Indoor Air, the international journal, issued a special volume of conference proceedings containing abstracts of the papers.
