Researchers of Professor Li Yadong’s group at Tsinghua University have made important progress in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
On Sept. 1, a paper written by the group on “A General Strategy for Nanocrystals Synthesis” was published in the prestigious journal Nature.
Nanoscience and nanotechnologies deal with objects with sizes in the scale of nanometers. In the past few years, the field of nanocrystals synthesis has advanced greatly and many chemical and/or physical ways have been developed. It is believed that a general strategy may provide a clearer insight into the underlying principle behind the controlled growth of low-dimensional nanostructures. However it is still a hard challenge to develop a general strategy for the controlled growth of low-dimensional nanostructures because of the complexity of structures and properties of different materials.
