Tsinghua University team won the fourth place recently in the 12th Asian English Debating Contest.
Asian English Debating Contest, an eye-catching display of the highest English debating skills in Asia, was launched in 1994. The 12th Asian English Debating Contest was held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia from May 14-22. More than 71 teams from 11 Asian countries attended the contest. Tsinghua university team succeeded in ascending one of the top four places, the best performance having ever been achieved by Chinese teams.
